February @ Shift: Dawn Endean and Kirsten Wilhelm

Shift Collaborative Studio is very pleased to present new work by Dawn Endean and Kirsten Wilhelm, opening First Thursday, Feb 7th .  Both artists present a perspective that will keep your visual cortex happily engaged.

Dawn Endean Observation & Apprehension

Observation & Apprehension by Dawn Endean, Feb @Shift

Endean’s art derives from the natural world, shapes, textures, subject matter; her background in archaeology and biology is evident, but the artist’s love of poetry and mystery unifies the themes and technique.

Kirsten Wilhelm’s encaustic pieces are reminiscent of road trips and vanishing horizons, long solitary lines across the landscape.   The perspective Wilhelm captures is less about mathematical precision, and much more about the potential of solitude and story.

Please join us for an Artist Reception, Thursday, February 7th, from 5pm to 8pm. In the Tashiro Kaplan building, next door to Room 104, upstairs from Gail Gibson–just follow the crowds 😉

Shift Studio is open Friday and Saturday, from 12-5 p.
