Patrice Donohue works with wax, paper and clay…simple materials to create a layered, complex surface that expresses depth and emergent luminosity. Like dreams made up of both known and unknown elements, Donohue’s work are both quiet and evocative. They urge the viewer to stay a while, to consider the metamorphosis of these simple elements into a singular emanation.
Shift is very pleased to present Emanations, new works by Patrice Donohue, opening First Thursday October 3rd, 2013, 5-8pm.
A special Artist Reception will be held Saturday, October 12 from 4-6:30 pm.
